It takes just one caring adult in a child’s life to make the difference for a successful and healthy life.
During Impact weekend, the Vineyard’s three weekend services will center around the needs of children in Black Hawk county and encourage individuals to step up and make a difference in the life of a child. Five local, child-centered agencies and program coordinators will be on campus to answer questions.
Two unique displays will be on exhibit during Impact weekend. Join us between 4:30 and 7 p.m., Saturday, June 27 or 9 a.m.and 1 p.m. Sunday, June 28.
Forgotten Children | A collection of 350+ life size, cut-outs of children bearing messages from foster children across the nation. Foster kids from across Iowa, participating in a statewide Elevate conference at Orchard Hill church, will assist with the set-up of this display. Students from the Vineyard will camp out Saturday night to keep watch over the “children.”
The Iowa Heart Gallery | A traveling photography exhibit of Iowa children currently in foster care and waiting to be adopted into a permanent family. Display located in the Vineyard Lobby.
All weekend events are open to the public.
