Small groups are without question the most vital and life-giving aspect of the overall ministry of Heartland Vineyard. Small Groups are the essence of our church family. From the very beginning, our church has been built upon small groups of seven to fifteen people learning to love each other as they pursue the heart of Jesus.
In these small groups we grow together, serve together, play together, pray together, fail together, cry together, and laugh together, while all along becoming victorious, together, in Christ. Small groups are a "place to belong," a place for people to experience and participate in the life and ministry of Jesus Christ.
We believe that in small groups you should find:
-
People growing in relationship with God.
-
People having their pastoral needs meet.
-
Deep and lasting relationships being formed.
-
People being trained and equipped to do the works of Jesus.
-
Help in times of need and crisis, as well as ongoing healing.
-
Development of new leaders.
-
An increasing ability in people to relate the Word of God personally and practically to daily life.
-
People being incorporated into the full life of the church.
-
Evangelism and outreach.
-
Groups growing to the point of starting other groups.
